Enhancing The Vehicle Ownership Experience
welcome
Wouldn't we all like to keep our cars in showroom condition for as long as possible?Having your car properly cleaned & protected, it can....You simply have to look at some of the cars we look after and you will see the high standard we work to.For most, a car is usually the next biggest purchase after buying a house.
It makes sense to look after that investment.
We can offer a comprehensive set of services which will get your car into a better condition than when it left the factory.Depending on the defects, an enhancement or correction detail can be carried out on any car, in almost any condition. Then we can lock that finish in with a durable, hydrophobic ceramic coating or paint protection film (PPF)
The phrase 'prevention is better than the cure' is definitely relevant in car care. Here, we offer both.If you have recently bought a new or used car,
we can offer a detailing package to get it back to looking like it was in the showroom..orIf you are after the convenience of having someone come to you
to maintain your vehicle we offer valeting options.
We try our best to do things to a certain standard. That standard takes time & know how, which is why we have invested in training and guidance from some of the best in the business, so we can bring that standard to you.
As you navigate through our website, hopefully you will get to see that you can trust that your car will be in great hands.
Q: VALETING & DETAILING - WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?
A: Valeting is usually the maintenance side of things including washing and vacuuming, but it has its limits. Cars can be made to look better by the removal of the grime you CAN see, and the contaminants you CAN'T.Detailing is geared towards finer details, deep cleaning and machine polishing, removing the damage induced by improper care when cleaning. This are the stages needed to be carried out to be able to apply long term, durable protection.
Q: WHY USE A PROFESSIONAL VALETER/DETAILER?
A: In the simplest terms, it's quality over quantity. Professionals will take the required care when cleaning and use safe, non caustic products wherever possible. Roadside car washes are the polar opposite, using strong chemicals (which can damage parts of the car) to get the job done as quickly as possible. One of the key benefits of having your car detailed is that it helps to retain its value. A clean and well-maintained vehicle not only looks better, but it also holds its value better over time. Whether you’re looking to sell your vehicle in the future or simply want to ensure that it remains in good condition, car detailing is an important step in maintaining its value. Some factory paint can be very soft and can mark easily without the proper care. Safe washing is imperative to maintain the condition of the paint, whilst preserving the looks and value of your car.Unsafe washing can damage trim, inflict scratches & swirls in the paint which leaves your car
looking dull, potentially devaluing the vehicle greatly. Here we only use safe products and techniques to deliver the best possible clean for your vehicle.
This is where professionals differ from the roadside or supermarket car washes. The latter may
get your car clean, but they usually inflict damage unnecessarily
due to dirty wash media and potent chemicals. We use a multitude of products developed specifically for the automotive industry and implement safe wash
procedures to keep the condition of your car as good as possible.
We use paint friendly wash media, the two bucket method, dry with high quality microfiber towels & have over 13 different brushes in our (completely separate) wheel cleaning bucket.
In short....we have the tools and knowledge to be able to carry out a clean on your car in the safest possible way, get it protected and maintain its condition going forward.
Q: WHY HAVE THE CAR 'PROTECTED'?
A: Here we have the 'prevention' side of things.Protection can come in various forms, from the more traditional wax or synthetic sealants to ultra durable, scratch resistant ceramic coatings. All of these are designed to work as a barrier against dirt & grime, with varying lifespans.
Ceramic coatings are the pinnacle of protection. When applied correctly, they become the active layer on your paint, are extremely durable, and help protect against the swirls that are inflicted by unsafe washing. The bond is so strong the only way to remove them is to machine polish it off.Waxes can look great but can degrade quite easily over a few weeks or months, or if a harsh chemical is used to clean it.
If your car does not have any protection, then you are looking at achieving around 30-40% cleanliness with a good quality pre-wash (not acidic TFR). The 'contact' wash then has to remove what's left. This is what causes the damage.
A car that has good quality protection on it can get to a cleanliness level of about 60-70% (ceramic coated 80-90%) in a touchless way with pre-washing alone. You can hopefully understand that this is the best way to stop unsightly swirls and scratches in the paint. This is also part of the reason why a protected car will look better for longer.
Even with high levels of protection, eventually dirt and contaminants WILL link to the surface of your car. The better the protection, the longer this will take so the car will stay cleaner for longer by repelling dirt & grime.
Which leads on nicely to.....
Q: Dealership or Professional Applied Coatings?
Buying a paint protection package directly from your dealerships may seem convenient, but please beware that they’re often hastily applied, without proper preparation and rarely do they live up to expectations.A: Lets take the product out of the equation for the time being. The dealership offering may well be a 'good' product, but it is nearly always the lack of time & knowledge by their valeting team that leads to poor installation. If you read in our detailing section you will see that it takes anywhere between 2 to 5 days to correctly prepare a car for a ceramic coating. I would hazard a guess the valeters don't even get 2 to 5 hours to complete this before the car is due for handover.
Therefore, it is not installed to the car, OR it does not bond as intended so doesn't last more than a couple of months,
if you're lucky...so you don't actually get what you paid £££ for.Do NOT be fooled into thinking they are going to give it away for FREE either. I have friends who supposedly had a well known dealership supplied product 'thrown in' to 'sweeten the deal'.
On first wash, there was absolutely zero sign of this so called fantastic 'lifetime' product present on the car.
Just a fancy pack of goodies in the boot. The salesman still gets his commission though..Professionals use industry leading ceramic coatings from manufacturers who spend a considerable amount of time & money on R&D, and some of their flagship products can only be installed by 'accredited' detailers. This means they have to go through extensive training & have years of experience to be able to understand how to apply the coating to get the claimed durability. Please please please do not take my word for it. Feel free to go on ANY car forum
and see what the general consensus is for people considering it.
Q: how often should I get it cleaned?
A: In winter months it is even more important to wash your car correctly and indeed more frequently. Traffic film can be abrasive to the paint, let alone all the thicker dirt that builds up on top of it. Road salt spread from gritters can eventually become corrosive if not removed.
This is why it's necessary to use a number of pre-wash stages to remove as much of the dirt as possible so the actual contact wash is as safe as it can be. This is where having protection on the paint as it will not only keep the car cleaner for longer, it makes cleaning easier and therefore safer than an unprotected car.The more frequently you have your car washed the better it will look. Wheels especially can corrode from excessive brake dust left to etch into the alloys. The grime will not be able to build up as much, so consider a monthly booking to keep it looking its best.

to be worse due to revealing the true condition of the paintwork especially if a product with 'fillers' has been used beforePrices & Services are subject to changePrices are based on a vehicle that has been kept in a reasonable condition.
Additional charges may be incurred for an interior or exterior that is heavily soiled/pet hair.
Detailing Services

Modern Automotive paint is prone to fading and oxidisation, and while waxes are quite user friendly they are simply not durable enough. As a result your vehicles paintwork is constantly under assault from abrasion from the grime built up on the surface. All of these harmful pollutants will inevitably degrade the appearance of your vehicles exterior, diminishing that showroom appearance.
These packages will not only protect your paintwork, but also its value going forward. They will usually add the value of what it costs to get done to the vehicle whilst making it
much more appealing to potential buyers when the time comes to sell.
I think it is important to note that these prices need to be looked at as an investment. They are a thorough procedure that will get your car in great condition, which can then be maintained providing regular safe washing is carried out after the polishing process has been completed.
Gloss Enhancement Detail
2-3 Days
You only need to go to the local roadside or supermarket car wash a few times and your paint will start to look dull. Incorrect cleaning will leave swirl marks, holograms & light scratches in your paint which will be highlighted when the sun shines on your car. There are superficial products available (glazes) that act like 'make up' for your car. They contain fillers which will mask these imperfections, not remove them. There is a place for them don't get me wrong, but it is important that you know your money is being spent in the right way. This single stage machine polish uses a diminishing abrasive compound that will remove wash marring and minor imperfections. These rob the paint of its true colour & improve the overall look of your vehicle while maintaining the thickness of the clear coat. The car will be thoroughly cleaned and dried using some of the best products on the market, decontaminated and clayed to remove bonded contamination then a 4-6 month sealant will be applied to the bodywork. Or you can choose to upgrade to a ceramic coating for the ultimate protection. This removes around 70% of the defects and greatly improves the look of your vehicle (deeper marks and scratches may remain - these would need a minor, or major correction* or even localised wet sanding* to remove at additional cost).*We check with a PTG (paint thickness gauge) before ANY machine polishing as it must be safe to carry this stage out.

New Car Detail
2-4 Days
"My car is brand new?! Why Would it need polishing??"A new car can suffer during its storage time, transportation or from incorrect preparation at dealerships, mostly because they do not have the time, experience or budget to do it correctly. You will be surprised at what defects and contamination are on a 'brand new' car.Dealership offerings are not necessarily bad products, they are just rarely applied correctly, if at all (I speak from personal experience)
and by valeters who are not trained correctly, or given sufficient time to complete the installation correctly.
You can go look on almost any car forum and the overwhelming opinion is to let a professional do it.We will safely wash, decontaminate and prepare the car. The vehicle will then be inspected under specialist lights prior to intricate machine polishing. A pad and polish will be selected after some test sections that will remove light blemishes, refining the paint to a very high standard. This is usually sufficient to get the car to the condition it should have been when you bought it. It will then be wiped down with specialist products to remove polishing oils. This leaves the car 'squeaky clean' to maximise the lifespan of a wax, sealant or a ceramic coating (recommended). With correct aftercare, the latter will lock in the near perfect finish for years to come, and make maintaining it much easier.Wheels will be cleaned in the same way & ceramic coated (if chosen) along with the calipers (if painted).Get your new car off to the best start by getting it cleaned & protected in the best possible way from the get go.

Minor correction
dual stage polish & Nano Coating
3-5 Days
Machine polishing will refine your paint while ceramic coatings will offer the best protection. Combined, they will transform your car. After a full safe wash and decontamination the car will undergo a multi stage paint correction. On paper, this is a cut stage which will remove 70-80% of the defects on the surface, followed by a refining stage that increases clarity & gloss to give an almost flawless finish. After the surface is polished a Premium Ceramic Coating will be applied to lock in the vehicles condition for the products intended lifespan. This offers great swirl, UV and chemical** resistance and will protect the finish.**Chemical resistance is important as future decontamination uses strong products that will degrade waxes & sealants,
so would therefore need reapplying at extra cost

Additional Services
Paint Protection Film (PPF)
PPF, or Paint Protection Film, is an almost invisible barrier that defends your vehicle’s paint from damage, including stone chips, bird droppings, bug splatters, and any accidental or intentional harm. The film is made from a thick, transparent urethane material that can shield any glossy or Matte parts of your vehicle, both inside and out.Working in association with Pro Detailing UK who is a certified installer of Gyeon PPF, having undergone manufacturer training and offering the Gyeon INFINITE warranty. This warranty guarantees protection against yellowing, cracking, and lifting.Gyeon currently offer five types of paint protection film, Enhance, Protect+, Matte, Black and Tint. Enhance and Protect+ both of which possess exceptional self-healing and hydrophobic properties and can withstand UV, chemical, and mechanical damage while maintaining a high level of gloss. These films raise the bar in the industry with their clarity and depth, making them a trustworthy solution for paint protection.
This is the ultimate in protection, helping maintain specialist PTS (paint to sample) colours and the all important original paint of the vehicle. On high end cars, having aftermarket paint will reduce the value and desirability of the vehicle, so it is wise to protect your investment.
Rain Repellent Glass Sealant
Mineral & limescale deposits from rain or hard tap water can clog up glass so that water literally clings to the surface, dangerously obscuring your view. After cleaning with specialist products a hydrophobic sealant is applied to to the glass to really improve visibility in wet conditions. This is also a really good option for cars that do not have a rear wiper. This can also reduce frost & ice build up in the winter months. Applied to all exterior windows, apart from the windscreen*Add £10 for Sunroof or
£15 for Panoramic Roof*this can be applied to the windscreen but can sometimes cause wiper judder on some makes and models.
This is not a fault of the product or the application and usually subsides over time.
convertible FABRIC roof
Deep clean your fabric roof to keep it in its best condition. Scrubbed with a dedicated cleaner and thoroughly rinsed (safely).
This can remove grime build up from neglected fabric roofs & vastly improve the look of your car.Add Protection (from £50) to keep it in a better condition for longer
Interior Detail
Steam clean and sanitise all the major contact points. Extensive vacuum of the interior cabin & boot.
Antibacterial wipe down of surfaces carried out to leave a fresh interior.
Shiny (dirty) leather can also be cleaned with this service.(add 3-4 month Leather protection for £15)(Mats can be wet extracted, but would need to be able to dry naturally, so will need to have suitable weather or a garage for this service)Shampooing can be done at additional costs depending on severity. T & C's apply.

Headlight Restoration
Faded headlights not only let down the aesthetics of your pride and joy but can also affect the performance of the light output which is not only dangerous, but could cause your vehicle to fail its MOT. It is a common misconception that once headlights reach this stage they require replacing which can be very costly, however this is far from the truth. Most headlights can be corrected with the right procedures and techniques. We will examine the headlights and use these techniques to bring back the clarity in the lens covers
WHEEL REFURBISHMENT
We outsource this service to a trusted specialist company so that you can have it
included in the overall transformation of your vehicle.Minimum booking time necessary in order to have the wheels removed from the car
VAG FAULT CLEARING
& BASIC CODING
Sometimes a fault may occur on your VAG* car that needs clearing. To save a potentially expensive trip to the dealership a diagnostic scan can be carried out and many temporary faults can be cleared. If these faults reoccur you will need to seek specialist advice on rectifying the problem. Some coding can be carried out (depending on the spec of the vehicle) to enable some cool features otherwise not available as standard. Mirror dip in reverse & needle sweep are two popular choices. The device will need to be plugged into the vehicle to be able to tell which coding adaptions are possible(*Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda, Lamborghini, Bentley)

TIPS
Here are some tips to hopefully help with day to day occurrences - hopefully you will find some of them useful
General Care
bird lime
Possibly the car owners nemesis. If bird p** remains on the paint too long, the acids in it will etch the paint (actually changing and re-forming the characteristics of the cars clearcoat)At this point the only option is to abrade it off with the correct polish, compounds & pads.At no point is it a good idea to use a dish scrubber/brillo pad. This will leave the surface in a worse condition than it was before.Get it washed, safely!
glass
It may seem quite obvious, but preventing damage to the vehicle is as, if not more, important as safe maintenance. Things like..using the glass to close the door, rather than the dirty edge of the door.
The boot will either have a dedicated "close" button. If not there are handles on the inner part of the boot to pull it down for closing. Again, try to avoid using fingers on dirty paint as this will cause damage
Store a good waffle weave cloth (or two) and cleaner (links below or check out the recommended product list) in the car door pocket/boot for keeping the inside of your glass clean. Over time a mist/fog can build up on the inside of the screen that if not cleaned away can cause severe visibility issues, especially if the sun catches it at a particular angle. This is mainly for the interior, but also works just as well for the exterior (after washing). Use 2 or 3 clean cloths (depending on how dirty the glass is) and a good quality spray glass cleaner (links below or check out the recommended product list). Spray about 5/6 mists onto the first cloth (not onto the glass) while pointing outside of the car and wipe the surface. This should remove the worst of the marks but leave the glass slightly wet. Have the 2nd towel ready to wipe away the bulk of the remaining cleaner, then flip to a fresh side (or use a 3rd cloth) to buff away residue. If the glass is still dirty, repeat these steps as necessary.Always check the suitability of the glass cleaner if you are working on tintsIf your glass is VERY dirty, you may need a glass polish to clear the worst of it before following the above guidance.Links for the glass cloths & glass cleanerCredit to Jim at White Details
wheels
If you like to clean your own car, then it's always best to wash your wheels & arches before the rest of your car as this tends to be the dirtiest area. A good quality wheel cleaner will help enormously here.No point washing the exterior of the car and then have the muck from the wheels splatter on the nice clean paintwork.
stone chips
Using a cocktail stick to apply the touch up paint is usually better than the supplied applicator. This makes it possible to add in smaller amounts (that dry quicker) and build up layers (if necessary). Over application will indeed fill the chip, but also leave a convex dome that can be almost as unsightly. The paint code for your vehicle can usually be found either on in the inside of the service manual, or on a plate/sticker in the spare wheel well. It can also sometimes be located in the drivers door shut. Also credit to Jim at White Details

We try our best to restore the plastic to its original colour.31. Any wax, sealant, or coating not properly cared for will not last it's intended durability length. We recommend

our maintenance program to care for the coating we are no longer responsible for any premature coating
failure. Please consider having us maintain your vehicle coating every 3-4 months so as to ensure
it’s durability for its intended lifespan.36. We recommend The Ultimate Valet (coming soon) service at least once a year if not more, to keep your vehicle
looking it’s best.
